We both got the veggie pizza meal that came with mixed green salads. I got mine with Italian dressing and Tom got Ranch. Our drinks were regular Coke for me and Diet Coke for Tom. I got a Mickey rice krispie treat and Tom chose a bag of chips for later.
It wasn’t very crowded inside, but we chose a table outside since the weather was so nice. I don’t know if it was because we were both starving, but that meal was so good! I think we both licked our plates clean! It would have been $29.34, but we used 2 CS credits.
As we ate, we discussed how we were going to approach the rest of the day. It was already 1:30pm, and we wanted to do Fantasmic at 6:30pm. So if we were going to take a mid-day break, it would have to be right now. But the more we talked, we realized that if we were going to be in line for Fantasmic by 5:30pm, it really didn’t make a whole lot of sense to go back to the resort for what would end up being maybe an hour. So we sat back and lingered a little longer over lunch and just enjoyed some people watching.
After we cleared our table, our next order of business was Muppet Vision 3D. This would be the first time I had gotten to see it the whole way through, so I was excited. What do I mean by seeing it the whole way through. Well, back in 2004 we had just gotten seated and the show had started when DS15 (9 at the time) decided that he needed to throw up. Thankfully we were on the end of the row and could make a hasty exit. In 2007 he didn’t want to go near Muppet Vision (I wonder why…), so this was my first time.
On the way over, we stopped at a kiosk to look at some of the items. DD11 has some of the Disney babies that are wrapped in blankets, and when I saw these I thought of her. They are so cute!
We continued over to the entrance, and a show must have just started because there was no body around. We just kind of hung around until we saw some people gathering near the turnstiles and then we got in line. After they let us in to the preshow area, I had fun looking at all the props.
The preshow started and I thought it was really cute. I can see why people think it need refurbed, but since it was my first time I didn’t mind. The doors opened and we entered. The CMs were directing everyone to continue to the end of the row and not stop in the center, so we strategically hung back so that we could be in the center of row. We both really enjoyed the show!
After we exited we stopped into a nearby gift shop to browse. The only thing I wanted for my souvenir was a new hoodie, but it had to zip up (not be a pullover). I was really excited to find one here that I loved. Tom also chose a stuffed Fozzy Bear. I had the package sent to the front of the park to pick up when we left.
The back of the sweatshirt.
As we were leaving, we saw the Christmas store and popped in to check out the ornaments.
I didn’t see anything I liked, so we left and wandered around a bit more. I saw this and thought it was really pretty.
Up next...how do we spend the rest of our afternoon?
